A Bit About Your Teacher
Séan moved to Japan in 2017, after meeting his Japanese wife in his hometown Norwich, England.
After moving to Japan, Séan started working at an English school where he stayed for 5 years. There, he taught students of all ages, from as young as 2 years old up to adults. Working not only at the school, but also travelling to other local schools and businesses, Séan taught classes of all sizes and styles. Once he had gained the experience needed and developed his own style of teaching, Séan decided to go it on his own and opened Roots English School in January 2022. From then on, he has been working on providing interesting, educational and fun lessons for his students.

Opened in January 2022, Roots English School is a family-run language school based in Koriyama, Japan. Our aim is not only to provide high quality content but also fun, engaging lessons that allow you to interact and use the language practically.
We understand that studying a new language can seem like a daunting prospect, but with over half a decade's experience teaching English to students of all ages, we can help find the correct path for you.
